Question - How did Monday come after Sunday in the Calender ?

Answer - To answer this question, we have to go to the concept of Planetary
Hours or Kala Horas

The Planetary Hours are counted from Sunrise and the owner of the Planetary
is the Lord of the Weekday. Today is Sunday and one hour from Sunrise is
presided by the lord of Sunday, the Sun.

The sequential order of Planetary Hours is as follows.

Sun
Venus
Mercury
Moon
Saturn
Jupiter
Mars

( Arka Shukra Budhas Chandra Manda Jeeva Dharasutha, Kramena Kala
Horesa.... )

So if the first Planetary Hour on Sunday is presided by the Sun, the next
hour is presided by Venus, next by Mercury and so on. This goes on for 21
hours and the 22nd Planetary Hour is presided by Sun, the 23rd by Venus, the
24th by Mercury and the 25th, the first Planetary Hour next day, is presided
by the Moon and hence his day, Monday, became the next week day in the
Calender.

We have these basic equations

Sunset - Sunrise = Duration of Day, Dinamana
Sunrise (next day ) - Sunset = Duration of Night, Ratrimana

The diurnal duration is divided by 12 to get Planetary Hours. The diurnal
duration will vary, as Day = Night = 12 Hours occurs only on Equinox days.
Similarly the nocturnal duration is divided by 12.

We will define the Intuitive Sciences.

The Single Eye on the U S One Dollar Bill symbolises the All Seeing Eye of Providence or the Eye of Horus or the Third Eye of Hinduism.

What is Intuition, by the way ? Intuition is defined as the Eye of Wisdom !

So what do we mean by the Intuitive sciences ? The Sciences of Wisdom or the Philosophic Sciences. Scientia Intuitiva est Scientia Prima - The First Science was the Science Intuitive.

Seers point out that Intuition alone can see Reality! Aurobindo averred ' Behind the phenomenal world is the Transcendent Reality, which Intuition alone can see"

"The first aspect of Cosmic Existence is an infinite, which is to our perception and Indeterminate. In this infinite, the Universe, whether in its aspect of structure or in its aspect of Energy, appears as an indeterminate determination, a boundless finite ( Einstein called the Universe Finite Unbounded ), paradoxical, but necessary expressions which seems to tell us that we are dealing with a Supra-rational Mystery as the base of all things ".

"Sankara, caught in between the phenomenal world and the Ultimate Transcendent Reality, comes to the conclusion, that as the Supracosmic Transcendence is supra-rational, realisable only through intuitive experience, so too the mystery of the Universe must ultimately be supra-rational" !

Absolute Reality or Absolute Being cannot be seen by the two physical eyes, but only by the Third Eye of Intuition !

The Lord tells Arjuna the same thing, only through the Third Eye cant thou see Me !

So the Seers, who knew that Self Actualisation is the summum bonum of Life, gave more priority to Intuitive Sciences than the Physical Sciences. Many mystical sciences were developed by them, Yoga Shaastra, Vedanta Shaastra, Nyaya Shaastra, Jyothis Shaastra etc.

Those who see only with physical eyes believe in the Six Day Creationism and the Big Bang Theory and believe that the Universe came out of Nothing, a Creation Ex Nihilo. They think they are " physical scientists" . Alas, how far are they from Absolute Truth !

I sit in Guruvayur, the fourth largest pilgrim center in the world ( after Vatican, Mecca and Tirupathi ) and it is my divine duty to defend Scientia Intuitiva !

The constellation of Delta Leonis is known as Pubba or Pooram, one of the 27
constellations which tenant the Ecliptic. There are more than one million
temples in Kerala. Several temple festivals occur on the Lunar Asterism of
their inception.

The famous Trichur Pooram occurs on the Pubba day of Mesha or Delta Leonis
in the sidereal month of Aries. More than 500,000 people witness this
Festival of all Festivals. It is of 36 hours duration and it is one of the
most beautiful sights in the world, according to UNESCO.

More than 50 caparisoned elephants pass through the center of Trichur Town ,
the Lord Shiva Temple.

Earlier the Pooram was at Arattupuzha and it so happened that the Chief of
Peruvanam Gramam denied entry to the temples of Trichur. This enraged the
Naduvazhis of Trichur and the then ruler, Shaktan Tampuran, integrated all
the ten temples around the central Lord Shiva Temple, Vadakkunnathan (
situated at a hillock ) and created this Grand Pooram. Tampuran created
two Groups, the Eastern and the Western. The Eastern group was called as
Paramekkavu, consisting in addition to Paramekkavu temple, Karamukku,
Chembukavu, Choorakottukavu and Panamukkamppilly. The Western group was
Thiruvambady consisting of Kanimangalam, Laloor, Ayyanthole, Nethilakkavu
and the Thiruvambady temple.

This Pooram is centered around the Lord Shiva temple at the Center, as all
the ten deities pay obeisance to the Shiva, the central presiding deity.
Shaktan Tampuran chalked out the program and the main events of this
Glorious Festival. In Kudamattom, that is changing of colored umbrellas this
year, techonology was used. LED umbrellas were used and it was a glorious
sight at seven pm. 15 caparisoned elephants of the Eastern Group faced the
15 elephants of the Western Group.
